The School of Pharmacy “Global Competence Enhancement Program for JLUSPS Students” Was Successfully Offered

In order to make full use of quality educational resources, improve students' academic literacy, expand students' international vision, improve students' professional English level, and promote the construction of first-class disciplines in pharmacy,With the support of the Office of Global Engagement, the School of Pharmacy successfully held the "Global Competence Enhancement Program for JLUSPS Students" from February 16 to 22, 2022.

We invited five foreign professors and researchers to our course, Professor Sophia Koutsogiannaki from Harvard University, Professor Diana Baptiste from Johns Hopkins University, Professor Zhaohui Zhou from Northeastern University, Professor Huiling Mu from University of Copenhagen, and Professor Zhicheng Xiao from Monash University.

Five professors brought different lectures to students from the perspective of drug discovery,pharmacological mechanism, research methods,research topic selection, etc., combined with hot spots such as COVID-19.During the questioning session, the students spoke actively. More than 1,000 teachers and students  attended the courses.The participating students said that they had benefited a lot from this activity, broadened academic horizons, deepened their understanding of scientific research, increased confidence in the pharmacy major, and pointed out the direction for further study in the future.The teachers who participated in the course said that the course has built a platform for them to cooperate in international research and laid a good foundation for promoting further international research cooperation. The school will take this opportunity to take multiple measures and efforts to continue to form a good situation of internationalization  and talent training.
